Austin Shred to Offer Free Document Shredding To Residents as Part of Shred
Day 2008
Company to Offer Complimentary Help with Austinites’ Home Records
Management, Identity Theft Protection and Recycling Needs
AUSTIN – Austin Shred, the leading locally-owned on and offsite provider of
secure document destruction services, will provide its services to residents,
free of charge, as a participant in Saturday’s Shred Day 2008.
The event will be held on Saturday from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Austin High
parking lot, 1715 W. Cesar Chavez. Austin Shred will join the Association of
Records Managers and Administrators (ARMA) and the City of Austin Solid Waste
Services in dealing a blow to identity theft. Households can bring up to five
file boxes of documents for shredding. Austin Shred will ensure that all cardboard
collected will be recycled as well.
Identity Theft is becoming a growing concern, as more and more personal
information is stolen and secretly used. With this in mind, authorities insist
that it is more important than ever to dispose of personal records carefully.
While most corporations and businesses have been increasingly engaged in proper
document disposal, many individuals still fail to do so.
